News From Times Long Past:

Update: 3/31/10
     I made a few minor updates around the site. For one, I took off the Chat because it was hopelessly glitchy.
     Another was that I added the My Characters page. You may bribe me for customs by drawing any of them which brings me to the last update which is that the Custom Info page is up.

Update: 1/15/10
     I added three new species today, the Drakling, Egos, and MicroRaptor, as well as the new area Frostbelt Tundra. Some creatures that were once available in the forest have moved to the new area. The Bios pages should give a hint to where certain species are although some point to areas that aren't open yet.
    Please let me know if there are any problems. Telling me about something as simple as a broken page would be very helpful as I tend to make typos in long lines of code. @_@
    On a side note ... I made a mistake on the last update. The chances of getting a creature are 1 out of 3, not 1 out of 2.

Update: 1/5/10
     I actually managed a few good updates today.
1. I adjusted Zygultch Forest so that the odds of getting a creature or not getting a creature with a click are 50/50 (look above). I also added the flitters.
2. The Bios now have hints at the location of creatures listed there.
3. I added an introduction category in the forum.
4. I updated the about me. It still sucks but it's there.

    Now if I could just muster up enough creativity from the black hole of my brain to get up some adopts.

Update: 1/4/10
     I finally got some of the files off of my old broken down computer. The only petz breed file that was on it was a cockatrice which I at fist assumed to be an old breed that I had made when I first started hexing to my suprize it is the super complicated one that I had thought was lost forever.
    The cockatrice breedfile has been found and is now available for download under Ubisoft Petz Stuff.

     I haven't been feeling up to doing any adopts since break started. I'm still on here at least once a week and I'm on Deviantart at least once a day if you want to chat. ^_^
     I still hope to have a nice update before break ends.

Update: 12/11/09
     I actually accomplished quite a bit behind the scenes this past week. I've been working on creating pages for the exploration maps that aren't up yet and creating more balanced odds for the one that is.
     I could have some more adoptables, and possibly some new areas up over the break but things are pretty hectic for me right now.
     I'd like the exploration section to a bit more strategetic and not nearly as random as it is now so my main focus right now is working out a way to do something a little more advanced with what little I can do with my poor understanding of coding.

Update: 10/18/09
     I added 44 new adoptables to Zygultch Forest. Some are new colors of the basic flit but most are the new species I call the Lung Flit. ( I spent ten minutes trying to find the Lung I wanted. It's getting a bit harder to find what you want. Xp )
     I've also updated the pet shop's layout. Later today the biological listing should be up as well. It will list information that isn't easily displayed on the exploration or shop pages.

     I expect I'll be releasing another batch of adoptables into Zygultch forest this weekend but as usual I'm overloaded with school work so it's dicey. This is just a reminder that I still LIVE! I've been working on one adopt for nearly three weeks now. I'm really busy ... *yawn*

     It isn't much yet but Zygultch Forest is open.
     It isn't completely up due to the fact that I don't have enough adoptables to really get it set up. This is just a small preview of what is to come.

Update: 9/19/09
     I'm replacing all of the pet links with new ones. I created a photobucket account special for Endos Rel so that the accident that happened not too long ago doesn't happen again.
    I've made significant progress on the exploration system today. I expect (with luck, and minimal homework) that it will be up in a week or two.
    I found some backup cds from my last pc. I'll see what I can scavenge off of there.

    The image files hosted at rena.us will be taken down at some point. Please host all pet images on your own "server," it reduces the likelihood of loosing them during maintenance, or if I accidentally delete something again.

     I feel I need to apologize for the decrepit state of my Petz section. Petz isn't running on my computer right now, and all my files, including the adopts that went down, are on a hard drive taken from my old dead computer. T_T
    The only way I can get the files off is to wait on my stepdad to take them off at his work, and I've been waiting a good year now.
    Please continue to let me know when files are bad so I can attempt to correct them. I do have a few files on this computer.
    School starts again tomorrow for me. This year has been rough.

Update: 8/13/09
     I'm still not very active. I hurt my eyes by working on deviantart stuff for too long so I've been spending as much time as I can stand away from the Pc. Today I made significant progress on the secret thing that I'm working on for the site. Every time I work on it it gets so much cooler. When it's released it'll make up for all the neglect I've been giving my site. I may even release a V0.01 uncompleted version just for fun sometime closer to finishing.

     I haven't been very active because I'm working on some top secret things for the site. ;3
     I was informed that my Astral Cat download wasn't working so I went ahead and uploaded the files I have on my hard drive to rena.us and you can download them directly now.

    I just finished a really tramatic midterm, but I got a little time to work on the site. I added my USTREAM, so you can watch me as I draw or play Spore or whatever it is I feel like broadcasting. lol. The wild adoptables section will take a while to get back under control from the accident, and I have come to the conclusion that I can draw adopts without my tablet so I might have some new adopts up as well.

    Fixed two annoying bugs:

• The chat box doesn't send you to another page when you click send.

• The Petz Page opens in the main frame again.

Update: 6/20/09

    I touched some things on photobucket that shouldn't have been messed with. Almost all the pictures on the site went down. I'm currently working on the new layout and as I go I'll try to fix the images and links. Any pets that were not uploaded to outside servers are lost. Their links will not work again. I will attempt to reload the pictures but the computer I started this site on is dead now and I don't know if I have all the pictures.
    Edit: I fixed all the pictures except the Pet Shop and Temp Pixels. The temp pixels won't be coming back. I'm not sure if I'll be able to work on the pet shop this weekend.
    Hang tight. I'm trying to fix it up.
    On the lighter side, I completed the new layout. It'll stay like this for a while while I try to figure out the more advanced one I had planned.

Update: 6/9/09

    My summer classes started don't expect anything from me for at least a month. It will probably be more because today is day two and I'm unbelievably burned out.
Also I have no internet in my dorm which is just adding to my misery.
    I was playing with the colors and index bar. Only the front page will display the colors and navigation correctly for the time being.


Update: 6/1/09

    My summer classes start on the fourth.
    All the before mentioned todos have been added to the todo list.
    My stepdad set up the framework of the layout I had in mind and it looks terrible. I think I might have to rethink my layout.
    There's a good chance the cool expanding navigation is going to have to go. I messed something up and now whenever I so much as edit one letter it will not expand. It's held back a ton of updates.
    The flits have been added. Can you find one?
* Hint1: There are none under Petz or Free Adopts.
* Hint2: Their eggs kind of look like a peanut butter cookie.

    I have some big updates on the way. It may be slow in coming but when it comes it'll be big.

• I found a much nicer forum host.

• I've got a fun update for the flits.

• The Adoptable section is getting a complete renovation.

• I'm going to give my new site layout another try.
  (Gave it a try .... It wouldn't work the way I want it to.)

    Some things I recognize need some attention around the site:
    The Petz section seems to have fallen to pieces. I'm hesitant to have direct downloads from my domain and the rapidshare files disappear when they are not used for a long time. For now ... as long as you guys keep downloading them, they'll be there. I don't know where my backups went so when they're gone, they're gone.
    The only scanner I have access to right now is EPIC FAIL so I won't have any character references, or deviantart submissions up until school starts again, and that's only if I can find the time to scan things in between projects.
    The "hight" (Just noticed the spelling error) charts are going to disappear for a bit until I can draw up some better ones.
    Also I need to move some of the old news out ... It's really accumulating ...
    I'll think of more ... and I'll post those later.
    I have to organize a bathroom, and one of my art cabinets ( ... ugh ... so much paper ... ), and then I have to pick up my brother from school ... then I can finally get back to working on some of these updates.

    I doubt I'll be able to get anything up for a bit. I've got finals, and then I'll need to relax a bit before doing some real work on here.

    Life is rough. I'm trying to get through collage. I have big plans for Endos Rel. I'm working on them as much as I can. I know it's not evident so here's an example:

You can still see where the line art got a little demolished but it's much better.
... and this is the update to the furyhound. It'll be released with at least 6 other adoptables I have yet to make.
Please leave a vote in the cbox as to whether I should make my adoptables smaller. These guys are not signature friendly as is.
Chances are I will make much smaller critters than this in the future.
My tablet is not friendly to small images. >_> I'll have to figure out that now too.

The java thing I'm working on is a major hassle. I stopped writing the code because the idea behind it fell apart. That is what I'm working on mainly now. Mending the theory behind that project.

Update: 3/5/09

    I made the boxer dragon template. I'm not releasing it because I have better things to do. Like writing some actual java programs for Endos Rel.
I devised a way to get cleaner line art out of my tablet and still be able to use gimp to edit but it takes time and I have to switch back and forth with Corel.
    I probably will not release anything until I get some code wrote to handle some things around the site. I have lots and lots of brilliant ideas! So many that I should carry around more notebooks to write them in and I already carry around at least four at all times.
    Maybe someday I'll make a new layout. Who knows, I might just spontaneously make one in a day like I usually do. XD

Update: 2/24/09

    I'm working on stuff. I've decided that I like the old astral cat template and the dragon template I've got so I'm leaving them alone. The new-ish template is going to sit on a shelf until I decide what to do with that. I've got a really cool dragon template but it's proving to be too much work for my current situation. It probably won't be finished.
    Hopefully this weekend I will be working on a dragon adoptable that features a species of dragons bred by humans to race and fight. It sounds a bit like dragon booster but it's not. It's a game I came up with a long time before dragon booster that involved little origami dragons tearing each other to shreds. ^_^ ... now that I think about it ... that was kind of morbid. 0_o
    The stuff I'm making with my tablet is amazing. I can't get the outlines to be anything but obnoxiously thick though which makes the drawings look a little cartoony. This weekend, for certain, I'll work on making some brushes that work better.
    I kind of scrapped the new layout for the page. I don't have time to fiddle with it right now and I lost the images. >_>

Good news: I have a tablet now! :3
Bad news: I can't make up my mind what to upload and what not to upload.
I'm making a new dragon adoptable, and I'm working on a new layout. I doubt the layout will ever be done because I need help and I don't think anyone will help me. >_<
I worked a little on the Astral Cat V4 template. It's giving me a hard time and I redrew all the horns out of frustration. If it ever does get released it will have few physical variations.

The forum is set up again. Feel free to try out the battle system I set up. I'm trying to make some prey sprites but they suck horribly.
Thanksgiving break ends for me today so I probably won't be updating again until Christmas.
